It’s About Connection

October 25, 2018 by Celia @ Fig Jam and Lime Cordial

What is it we all need?

Hannah Gadsby would argue that it’s connection.  What every human being wants, at their core, is a way to connect with others.

I watched her program Nanette on Netflix recently, and would urge anyone who has access to it to spend an hour of their time doing the same. Perhaps it will speak to you as powerfully as it did to me. ♥

I agree. I watched a few months ago and she altered my perception of many things. AND she was so damn funny.

I think it is great but still can’t get my mind around her being an international celebrity – I am so used to her just being a celebrity in our little corner of the world. She speaks with such emotion and power that is a surprise how funny she can be as well.

It’s always a pleasure connecting with you, Celia! (The IMK crew, too — I’m so thankful you connected me to them, xo.) Unfortunately I don’t get Netflix, but I just watched the trailer on You Tube and it looks wonderful. Loved her thoughts on self-deprecation — hope to hear more. Thinking of you from a galaxy far, far away… :)

I watched Nanette after you mentioned it. Hannah put into words something life-changing and wonderful that happened to me when I started blogging… I found “my tribe” of likeminded and like-valued peeps, and it doesn’t matter that they don’t live next door -although that would be nice ♡

Hadn’t heard of Hannah – must seek her out.
