Well folks, today’s post marks two months of daily scribblings from me.
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading my often random stream of consciousness, and that it’s brought you a little cheer during this period of lockdown.
It’s been a frenetic blogging pace and not really one I can maintain in the long term, particularly as Sydney enters its next phase of opening up from 1 June. I will try to keep blogging regularly, albeit less frequently – I’d forgotten how much fun it was to chat with all of you!
Thanks for keeping me company during these weird and slightly scary times. And please…stay safe! Talk soon. ♥
Thank you for your lovely spot of cheer. I’ve enjoyed reading about your adventures and look forward to the next one. Hugs Maz.
Many thanks from UK, blog has really helped. X
For sure you need a break…no pressure :) but looking foreward to your next post. These have been a treat for me every day! Thank you.
No idea what happened to my comment but know that I have enjoyed your daily posts. You need a break…no pressure but looking foreward to your next one.
It’s been wonderful reading all your posts. I can’t believe it’s been two months already! You definitely need a break. Looking forward to your next post.
We’ve been busy as well, so your posts are always a pleasant excuse to sit down, relax, and read. I don’t always have time to comment, but I always read everything. You’ve helped in many ways. On a side note, my sourdough starter is still going strong. Everytime I use it, I smile, thinking of you. Thanks so much for sharing!
Celia, thanks for following through on your blogging intentions during this challenging time to bring us a lil’ light and love every day. “Ya done good, kiddo!” I’m still smiling over your poncho post. :) Positive thoughts and great writing are welcome anytime, no matter how sporadically they may appear after this. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself and your family, xo!
Thank you Celia, I have so very much enjoyed your daily blogs through this time. And put quite a number of your suggestions into practice. Take care!
Thank you, you have been a happy ray of sunshine to wake up to every morning, informative, interesting and fun. So go relax, bake, make, smile, laugh … enjoy!
Love reading everything you write Celia, whether it`s something to make us chuckle, muse over or inform. Have added so many of your blog contents to the way things are now done. Still chuckling about Ellen Fanning proudly showing her sourdough loaf whilst mentioning Celia on The Drum and me announcing it`s got to be Celia C! When Ellen mentioned sending starter in the post to Italy it was definitely you! Many thanks for such a wonderful daily blog it nourishes the soul and is so looked forward to. You are a treasure! Time for R&R.
Thank you for your blogs. You inspire me to try things.
Dear Celia, I have loved every single post ( though to me they felt more like a letter) you have written in these last few months, even though I haven’t ever commented.
Your quarantine cookies have become a family and grandchildren favourite as well as your sour dough method is the one which I refer my friends to when they have asked me for some starter and instructions for sour dough bread making.
I am envious of your wonderful oven which enables you to bake copious quantities of bread of all and sundry. It must be a wondrous heart of your home.
Thank you , and now I’m wishing that I had made myself known to you before now when I reflect on how much I loved reading your daily writings. Thank you for your generosity which has been very nourishing 😍
Thank you thank you, you are a rare and important treasure, love everything you write. Stay safe and well 🌺
Hi Celia. I’ve loved hearing from you every day. Brightens my whole day reading your post before I get up. I love your blog and I love referring back to your recipes etc. Thank you! Christene.
Your posts have definitely been value added.
Well where did those two months go? Love reading your blog. I actually love how you make people stop and think, did you know you do that? I look forward to your next blog post, whenever that might be.
It was back to work & school for us this week, interesting how we humans just slip back to “normality”.
Stay safe and happy baking 😊
Thank you so much. I read everything you write but have never responded. I love seeing and hearing about all you do and your perspective on life. It is like waking up and having a friend to chat to. Be well.
Thanks for being a constant and calming voice over the last 2 months. Always love reading your perspective on things. Stay safe and all the best as we head into the next phase.
Thank you for your daily musings they have certainly brought cheer to me. Stay safe in the next phase of this unknown territory we are all exploring.
You’re the best Celia … have always loved your posts, and enjoy hearing from you … whenever that is … take care xo
I’m thrilled to have discovered your blog, your advice has made me a successful sourdough baker in no time! I look forward to more of your advice and insights, whenever suits you. Look after yourself.
You stay safe Celia. We’ve had no new cases here in Townsville region for 50 days now. People are starting to get angry they are going broke especially those in the tourism sector just because we have to do the same as Brisbane which is crazy and unfair.
Thank you so very much Celia!! xx
You’ve made me chuckle and laugh out loud and given great advice and ideas. And The Sewing Basket – here i come! What a wonderful revelation that was,
Thank you so much for your posts and warmth.
I have thoroughly enjoyed your creations and musings. Thank you.
Thank you for your scribblings Celia, I have enjoyed them all.
Hard to believe two months have past, not sure if it’s gone by really fast or slow I’m feeling like Alice down the rabbit hole these days.
Stay safe
Thank you Celia it was lovely to have you back x
Love reading your blog & Im very excited – the guardian has published an article on baking gluten free sour dough – so I am planning to have a crack
Isolation has left me with severe sourdough envy
Oh that’s fabulous! Could you please send me a link to the article? Thank you!!
Can’t wait to try!!

I have also enjoyed regularly reading your posts again. My favourite one was the social distancing hat and the quarantine cookies are frequently baked here. Thank you 😊
Thank you Celia for your being a positive voice in this time of craziness. And for the reminders to darn our socks (bless you)
I can’t wait to try.

Thank you so much! I can see that dishing up a daily dose of inspiration – I have just realised you are NEVER negative – must be ennervating after so long although like others I find it hard to believe its been t really 2 months. You make every post so interesting.
Much as I am tempted to beg you to keep it up, I should hate to think of your musings becoming a chore instead of a joy to share. So switch off if you need, for as long as you need.
I am going to miss my daily Encounter with you Celia. Thank you for your stalwart effort on our behalf. Enjoy your break and I look forward to receiving an email from you in the not too distant future. Keep safe and look after yourself
Thank you Celia, it’s been a blessing to enjoy your articles on all the different topics you are good at. As others have said it’s inspirational to read your blog. Have a safe and enjoyable summer.
Celia, thank you so much for the daily posts, they’ve been one of the highlights of my mornings in iso!
I’m really inspired by so much of what you do and hope to see you back here soon(ish)!
Thanks Celia. I’ve greatly enjoyed the variety in your postings, making life seem a little more normal than the reality. I’ll look forward to any future posts.
Thanks Celia. It feels like hurdling doesn’t it? As we get ourselves through another week and another stage and hope against hope that we’re all doing the right thing and the toll stays low here. Stay healthy!
Another hearty “thank you!” to add to everyone else’s! I have so enjoyed all your posts and I’m in awe at what you have accomplished over all this time, it’s no easy thing.
I also always meant to come back and comment again on your post about the scissors but will pop it here. I only got my overlocker 18 months ago and was momentarily baffled when you said you had one instead of pinking shears – probably because I’ve used them for pretty much anything but their intended purpose! They give such a pretty edge to so many of my fabric craft projects, I’d be lost without them!
I’m looking forward to whatever you find to delight us with in the future, whenever it pops up here!
