Festive Butter Cookies

August 18, 2009 by Celia @ Fig Jam and Lime Cordial

Isn’t it wonderful how…

…a disposable piping bag…

…and a little tempered chocolate…

…..and a sprinkle of icing sugar…

…can turn a boring butter cookie into a festive treat?

(I caught Big Boy with one of these in each hand yesterday, taking alternate bites from each cookie…)

I need to learn how to do this. I could impress everyone with these at Christmas time. The perfect gift for teachers and the neighbors and the gardener and the post lady ….. the list goes on. Can I book a lesson now?

They do look Christmassy, don’t they? You don’t need a lesson, just a piping bag. I’m sure it’s something a certain small girl would just love to help with.. :)

the subtlety of these things is the key. Not too sweet but sweet enough… not too almondy but almondy enough. first class Mrs C. I’ll be sitting down to chomp on one tonight with some ginger/honey tea.

Glad you liked them, Dredgey! I thought they might appeal to your small people as well…
