And all good wishes to you too! We’re off out tonight to a local restaurant which is fairly recently opened by a group of young friends from China – the restaurant will be packed by all accounts and we are really looking forward to celebrating with pals of our own :)

Excellent lantern shares Ms Celia. Many happy returns for Chinese New Year. This is one time of the year that I miss W.A. as Chinese New Year celebrations in the Perth suburb of Northbridge and nothing short of magnificent :)

Kung Hey Fat Choi! Hope it’s a cracking one for you all.
Happy, happy New Year Celia, Pete, Little Man and Big Boy!! Hope it’s a great year for all of you xx. On another note, I am gutted to miss out on the celebrations in London’s Chinatown this year – I love watching the dragons dance from shop to shop, “eating” the cabbage and taking the money! We usually end up having dim sum in one of the restaurants or eating from the street stalls – I just love the atmosphere…what will you be up to?
Kung Hei Fat Choy to you and your lovely family too sweetie! I hope you have a wonderful CNY full of fun, family and feasting :) xo xo
Kung Hei Fat Choi to you and yours, Celia. Hope it’s a great one for you all.
Happy New Year to you Celia, whether one calls it the Year of the Sheep or Goat or Ram :) !! Love the lanterns: question your usage of the word ‘easy’ in their making !!!

Kung Hee Fat Choy, Celia! Many blessings to you and your lovely family! :-)
Goaty Blessings to you to Celia.
Very clever lanterns, using Chinese money paper. I will definitely find other occasions to use your design for these delightful creations.
I still have your lantern! Happy Chinese New Year to you!
Kung Hei Fat Choi! I’m a goat so it’s my year!

Have a wonderful New Year, gorgeous lanterns! How do you possibly find time for all of this?
I didn’t know the celebrations went on for 15 days. I’ve heard there’s confusion over whether it’s the year of the sheep or the goat. Apparently the character in Mandarin is the same for both. Happy Chinese New Year xx
Whoa, that lucky looking lantern! Great DIYs. Hope we can complete at least one decour each hehe. Gong Xi Fa Chai!!!

Happy Chinese new year Celia to you and your family x
Happy New Year Celia! I’m going to have to tell my friend that this is the year of the Goat – we both love goats & as she has a barn, we’ve talked about getting a couple of goats to share. She’d house them & we’d each help take care of them with the added benefit of letting them graze away the poison ivy.
Happy Chinese New Year to you to Celia! Now where do you get the little money envelopes? I remember you making these last year but forgot to ask…
Beck, you can get them at Chinese grocery stores and also from some of the banks (try HSBC). Have fun!
