In my kitchen…
…are Amedei 70% dark chocolate medallions, made with the Syrian ma’moul moulds I bought from Harkola. The Amedei tempers better than any other chocolate I’ve ever used, but it’s very expensive. I buy it through lovely Tania at Lario International…

In my kitchen…
…are a set of beautiful blue plates, a gift from my friend Therese…

In my kitchen…
…is a branch of curry leaves from Maude’s place…
I traded her for sage from our garden. We’ve had an abundant crop this year and have dried a bag’s worth for winter…
. . . . .
In my kitchen…
…was Korean chigae for dinner, made using our now tried and tested recipe from Adam Liaw’s Asian After Work cookbook…

In my kitchen…
…is a new Swarovski crystal bracelet, which I made as a “souvenir” of our daily walks by the water…
I wanted to capture the colours in this photo that I took a few weeks ago, but I’m rubbish with paints…
. . . . .
In my kitchen…
…are hot sauces. I bought a discount pack from Fireworks Foods, but I’m not sure we’ll actually be able to use them all. The scorpion sauce is a bit terrifying…
Somewhat hilariously, the Devil’s Bitch Hot Sauce is the most delicious one we’ve tried to date…

In my kitchen…
…was a delicious twenty year old Australian Hunter Valley Semillon. The perfect end to a long week…

In my kitchen…
…was the latest sock pick up from Richard the podiatrist (story here in case you missed it). After Napisan-ing, hot water washing and tumble drying, forty pairs were delivered to the Mustard Seed Op Shop in Ultimo for handing out to the homeless. I kept a few pairs for my own feet and sock monkeys…

In my kitchen…
…is buffalo scamorza – smoked buffalo mozzarella. It’s the best and most indulgent pizza cheese ever…

Tell me, what’s happening in your kitchen?
If you’d like to write an In My Kitchen post, please do so by the 10th April and send your link to Liz of Bizzy Lizzy’s Good Things. Thanks for hosting Liz! x
Oh Glory!! Nothing as good as your kitchen :) So glad you are still on sock patrol! Bracelet perfectly captures your water. Nice work.
You are very brave with those hot sauces – there’s no way I’d be tempted by any of them. And that cheese looks totally divine!
The bracelete looks wonderful. So many interesting things in your kitchen. The chocolate looks perfect.
Not much in mine but some fresh sourdough bread.
Hi Celia, the bracelet is very pretty and truly captures the colours of the water from your walks. Love those chocolates too. Get in ma belly xx
PS thank you for the kind shout out x
OMG I am laughing so hard with the Devil’s Bitch, I can hardly type…. LOVE IT
well, I am joining in this month, finally – my post is scheduled for April 04th! So excited!
Very jealous of that luscious pile of smoked scamorza. It is a real treat. The bracelet perfectly captures the sparkling blue and reflected light of the sea, Who needs to paint when you can capture a scene in crystal? You can never have enough curry leaves… what a great bunch you scored. Great to throw branches into a Keralan curry. And that chilli sauce is priceless..
Hi Celia, can you tell me who makes the buffalo scamorza or sells it? I’d love to get my hands on some.
Sue, I bought it from paesanella cheese shop in Haberfield. Not sure who makes it?
Celia, your kitchen is always like a treasure box. Thank you for sharing. Love the Curry leaves, have to find out where I can get seeds or how to plant them.
Cornelia, apparently it grows like a weed, so if you do get seeds, plant with caution! :)
I’m intrigued by that Coconut Chili Sauce.
We threw a April Fools potluck where everything looked like something besides what it was. We had carrots made out of cheese, cherry tomato lady bugs and cupcakes frosted to look like nachos. It was a hoot.

I always feel very lucky to vicariously tag along with you. I love your style ♡
Lovely as always Celia, I love the colour palette of those crystals, they match the water amazingly; and the scamorza looks delicious…what are the best pizza toppings to combine it with?
Nobody has more interesting stuff in their kitchen except you. (and maybe Glenda from Passionfruit Garden) It’s wonderful to see all the things you big city people can get that just isn’t available way up here.
I always so enjoy your IMK posts. I absolutely adore your blue plates – what a treasured gift.
I haven’t done an IMK or many other posts either the past year.
Have a glorious week ahead.
:-) Mandy xo
Ohhhh where did you get the buffalo scarmoza? I have a friend that has been hunting for it.
Paesanella cheese shop in Haberfield. I think they always have it, but it might be worth ringing ahead first to check.
Thanks Celia! x
Your hot-sauce collection looks amazing. Very interesting collection of new things this month!
best… mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I’m constantly amazed at how talented you are, Celia. Love the Swarovski crystal bracelet you made. The colours are beautiful.
You chocolates and your bracelet are truly beautiful – and signs of your creative heart. Hot sauce bottles have the best labels – I could imagine collecting the bottles if I had more room here. And smoke mozzarella sounds lovely
Not much going on IMK this time, but hopefully in the next week or so, I will be prepping for a creative photoshoot I’m going to do with a Photographer and Prop Stylist.
Oh! Oh! I can hardly contain myself, Celia! Your water photo and bracelet interpretation thereof made me want to fiddle w/my paints immediately! (You go, girl, and don’t let that “inner critic” declaring rubbish stop you.) Smiling about your hot sauce collection, neighborhood herb bartering, and judicious serving of Korean chiage, too… I do declare I just told TMOFW (re: my latest helping of beans and rice: “I feel guilty eating more rice in one meal than most folks eat in a week…”) I’m ever mindful — as are you. (Don’t get me started on your chocolates though… xo.)
I love these posts, I feel like I’ve just been sitting in your kitchen with you (which incidentally always smells gorgeously of freshly baked bread in my mind) and shared a bottle of that lovely wine with you xxx
I love your “In my kitchen” idea. What a fun way to share recent favorites! That buffalo scamorza – I’ve never seen anything like that and now my mouth is watering.
Your chocolates are always gorgeous. It’s probably a good thing I can’t find such good chocolate to temper here I could be in trouble. It’s always fun to see what new things you make with the socks! Your kitchen always has such amazing things.
oh wow celia. so many things….love the look of that cheese. how gloriously shiny. and your bracelet – so clever are you. and it is very pretty. love your chocolates. that byron bay coconut chilli sauce is pretty good too. i have used it in chicken dishes. that blue plate is a thing of beauty too. i do love blue.
Your kitchen is amazing! You definitely put me to shame! I love jiggae – and yours looks amazing! I think the plate is stunning. What a beautiful gift. Also, you may not feel you are a dab hand at painting but that beautiful image tells otherwise – it looks like a photo. It’s stunning. I wish I was anywhere as good.
As usual, lovely things Celia. Your bracelet perfectly captures the colors of the water in your photo. The plates are gorgeous, they look like they would work as shallow bowls as well. And, I envy you the curry leaves. I think I will have to try growing a plant when we get our Fort Bragg garden started this fall. They are impossible to find here unless dried.
